Session 07 title question: Today we are modeling to learn how to evaluate our base case of no change. Have we decided to use the phrase "base case of no new decisions" instead of "no change"? @lzim @dlkibbe @dlounsbu @staceypark
Yes, great edit @branscombj
@branscombj @dlkibbe @Bowlied @justinspears1
Hi EES workgroup, As @lzim outlined above, we want to use GitHub to discuss and make decisions asynchronously as much as possible to make meeting times more efficient and cover more ground :smile:
There are guides for:
We will also walk you through a short training to help you use GitHub.
Would it work to do the training tomorrow during the 9am PST / 12pm EST MTL Launch call? Or should we set up another call for this?
@staceypark It is fine with me to do the training during tomorrow's call.
Here's a summary of the items needed by EES and their status. Except for Post test questions, everything else for 1 and 2 is in individual session forms here.
Individualized to each of 12 sessions; partially complete; not yet reviewed by EES in current form
Complete; same for all 12 sessions; and already reviewed by EES
In progress between MTL HQ and EES
TBD for MTL Live; n/a for MTL Video
Lindsey and @dlkibbe, I uploaded a spreadsheet that maps EES brochures to MTL Live and MTL Video session numbers and names. @lzim if you could check that this works for you then we'll flag it for Elizabeth.
@branscombj as reminder, we want to use markdown files as much as possible for easy reading and editing straight from GitHub. I went ahead and converted it here: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/blob/master/ees_workgroup/master_brochures/ees_brochure_session_mapping.md
@dlkibbe @lzim and @staceypark : Need to identify and recruit 3 people from each accreditation discipline to pilot each video session (not required to be the same for all sessions). They have to have to time themselves watching AND pausing/doing the session, then complete a reviewer form. They will get CEU for piloting! We recruit; Correy sends them the forms and instructions and lets us know about response rate in case we need to recruit additional people.

@lzim @dlkibbe @dlounsbu @TomRust @staceypark I've updated this table to show our first assigned videos to review: the ones we recorded. I believe we decided to watch for (others can edit this) a) glaring, egregious errors b) errors we can and will live with but should know about c) eloquent passages 🗣 we should all practice and convey to our facilitator-learners
TIP: to edit this table in bulk (e.g. remove or add a column): Go to Preview, copy and paste into Excel, and back.

Hi @lzim , @dlkibbe , @branscombj , @dlounsbu ,
Bad news:
I reviewed sessions 7, 8, & 9 for CC, MM, and AGG, specifically looking at how we used and discussed the "use team data on new patient start rate" in CC and MM, and the green sliders for "Service Proportions" in AGG. I figured I could watch them again, slower, this week for a real review.
Episodes for sessions 8 and 9 look good...except for MM, Session 8. The entire test is about changing the RVI, but the actual experiment run changed New Patient Wait Time, instead.
:(
Maybe we could replace all the screen shots of us changing the wrong experiment sliders, and leave all the audio the same? Maybe float a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen? I don't know.

@lzim @dlkibbe @staceypark - I sent an email on 12/13 about the PILOT reviews of MTL Video. I think Elizabeth was going to ask the accreditation folks if something like the scheme below would be adequate, or if we need a person in each cell. (Each letter is an individual person from the discipline in the column heading. I removed the 3rd reviewer columns for each discipline after hearing her say last Thursday that an absolute minimum would be 2 per.)
This scheme shows the actual required reviewers for sessions 1-4 & 11-12; but does not have all disciplines review every version (module) of sessions 5-10. If we need each and every video reviewed by 2+ ppl from each discipline, we might consider whether reviewers can jump in out of sequence and split a column up across more than one person.
The TAS would be an obvious first set of reviewers, and they can do all 36. That should cover a couple of the disciplines.

@dlkibbe , if @lzim approves the pull request #308 and merges those edits back to master, please note slight changes to the short titles for 2 of the sessions and make sure Correy and Elizabeth have them. Session 2 is Data user-interface and session 3 is Team data.
@branscombj thanks for notice. Q: when did we start putting a hyphen in between the words user and interface?
@branscombj and @dkibbe and @staceypark
I apologize I introduced confusion with the session 2 title slide. It should be user interface (UI) no dash. I will upload a fresh title slide for all of us and @AnnHier.
UI is related but not the same Team PSD style discussion regarding other words that are sometimes combined and sometimes not:
@branscombj and @dkibbe and @staceypark
A new session 2 title slide is uploaded here: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/blob/master/resources/title_slides/mtl_s02_data_ui_title.png
@branscombj @dlkibbe We just met with our EES Review Committee for the MTL Live accreditation and our Nursing representative asked (again) how Nursing fits in with the MTL modules. She raised concern that the nursing accreditation body would ask about this.
Lindsey was explaining that Nursing is defined by the cpt codes and services - so it could be in adjunctive, psychotherapy, evidence-based psychotherapy, etc. @lzim - perhaps you could expand on this?
@branscombj @dlkibbe An update on the EES brochures from @Bowlied ... Update: LIVE Brochure (first one) accreditation packet submitted – pending review & approval by accreditation team. Next steps: Date/Time/Faculty identified (we can build a TMS link with this information)
FYI: @branscombj @dlkibbe and @branscombj I'm going to close this issue as I believe the accreditation materials are complete, except:
I don't believe we need to keep this issue open for that piece alone.

@lzim @staceypark @dlkibbe @ritahitching Perhaps we could run this or other approaches by Elizabeth on the call I'm hoping we can have with her soon? Also want to describe our 2 MTL-Red programs (2-session and 12-session) and their accreditation; and make sure all our to-dos are super clear in preparation for Wave 1 launch.
Hi @AnnHier ! It's been a while - but I know you've been working away on the videos. THANK YOU so much for all you've done to produce high-quality resources for Modeling to Learn! I have a quick question as we prepare to have them piloted after they're captioned. Do you have a list somewhere that shows the final run times of all 36 videos? It would help to know what we're asking of folks in terms of their time, and also give us a ballpark for the CEUs they might get for them. If you don't have that handy, we can open them up and check. Thanks! @staceypark @dlkibbe
@branscombj, yes - actually the videos are all uploaded and I'm working on getting you all the links to the finished video final cuts now. I will put them in a spreadsheet with the runtimes. Thanks!
@AnnHier Please don't go to any extra trouble to make a spreadsheet! We can do that if it's not something you already have!
Good morning,
In preparation of our meeting, I am attaching the job aide that outlines the specifics of the pilot review process. I believe this will answer all of the questions. We can discuss further.

@Bowlied - I believe you need to click on the GitHub link and attach the document directly in a comment, rather than replying to the email notification. @staceypark - Would you please set up a call. My availability this week is below (shown EST). After that it will be January 6 ->. @dlkibbe - Let's review the piloting job aid before we meet with Elizabeth.

The goal is for learners to earn 1 (hour) of credit whether for video or for live. For live, it's approved for 1 hour for anyone who attends for the hour, because that's how long it is. For video, EES will establish the number of CEU for each one based on the feedback from pilot testers, who are required to time themselves doing it. It will be longer than the run-time because they're supposed to pause the video and do the activities. Some mtl video sessions may only offer 0.5 CEU, and some may offer more than 1.0.
Thank you - yeah, my excel addition skills aren't so hot! Hopefully we'll get captioning back soon. :)

Amazing work!
@jessfroe Are you able to point Andrea to these links? @staceypark and @jessfroe Should we update the depend_products column of the document_tracker with these links?
@staceypark are there links at https://mtl.how/demo or in the Sim UI itself at https://mtl.how/sim that need to be updated?
@lzim yes, I will show Andrea how to get to these links today! I can update the depend_products column links tomorrow morning.
Thanks @jessfroe!
Updated list of Videos:
Hi, Just responding to a question from @staceypark - do you just want the animations and opening music themselves? What kind of files do you need? Thanks!
@AnnHier nvm we are good!
@staceypark no worries! Thank you!
@AnnHier @staceypark @branscombj I was reviewing videos to edit post-tests. In the session 2 video, there is a pop-up that may need a minor edit in the FUTURE... the "Add all" phrase in the pop-up in this screen shot should probably be in quotes so the learner understands that aligns with a phrase on the screen.

As you said, @dlkibbe , this goes in our list of things to consider in a future release. @lijenn or @staceypark is there an issue/card where we could put things we come across like this, that would show up in the "icebox" in our Zenhub view? Thanks!
Thanks, @branscombj and @dlkibbe, noted, but I do like the idea of creating a new issue thread so I can keep track of these - thanks!
Hey @lzim the timestamp I was referring to during Wednesdays passover of the "Modeling To Learn - Quick Introduction" is 1:05.
Depending on the resolution to the above discussion this could maybe become a new issue card if needed. @staceypark @lijenn
Good Morning EES Workgroup 🌞 !!

MTL Live and MTL Video have the same 12-session plan with the same:
Fidelity Checklist for the 12-session plan: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/blob/master/mtl_facilitate_workgroup/mtl_fidelity.Rmd
The same describe, test, apply learning objectives across the 12-sessions of the live guides: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/tree/master/mtl_facilitate_workgroup/mtl_live_guide
Note that MTL Fidelity, and the MTL 12-session plan, and the MTL learning objectives are the same across all Modeling to Learn modules
Therefore since MTL Live and MTL Video are the SAME will work with the same folders to complete our ees_workgroup review:

.Rmd templates to use moving forward through sessions 5-12
Note key style standards for text about all MTL resources and programs
