I have the same issue. The latest commit https://github.com/m-ab-s/media-autobuild_suite/commit/1f254b057e440ea09882e024cc2a17810adb61e6 is still affected.

That patch was removed in upstream https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/commit/57c6de32e583920ed0ae8ac416f95ab3336c9494 commit.
