[FEATURE REQUEST] More categorization for events in the app #285

I have many birthdays for many people, from numerous eras like secondary high school, high school, and other extracurricular classes, and as of now, the app doesn't have a way to categorize aside from either Favorite or no

It would be nice if there were an option to create more categories and organize events into those groups, or more predefined types of "Favorites", perhaps something like this:

I started thinking about such feature in 2021, but I'm still not sure how to add it without making the app less user friendly and easy to use for less experienced users. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I would also be happy about such a feature.

IMHO, the simplest solution would be to add a new menu item in the person dialog under "Notes" or as a horizontal swipe function on the person's name. From there, you can add/select/remove categories. Presets of categories such as work, family, friends would be neat. Between the Favorite and Settings icons in the bottom menu bar, there could be a new "Category" button that groups the entries.

I prefer adding it on the Notes section. I'm not a fan of horizontal swipe.
