google docs needs to be re-enabled

So apparently recently Dark Background stops working on Google Docs. I go to the website, and the extension seems disabled. So I have to re-enable it It happens every few days. Or perhaps the DB extension is just disabling itself by default. I can confirm that it works just fine with google.com and the other subdomains.

Works well for me, and is the best solution, on G. Docs.

However, you may want a different mode/option for different URL subset of G. Docs. What I use:

• https://docs.google.com/document/d -> Invert
• https://docs.google.com -> Default (which, I believe, is, by default, Stylesheet processor - anyway, Stylesheet processor works, too)
• BUT, from memory, there is some popup in G. Docs, that may need a special mode
• drive.google.com -> Default (Stylesheet processor)

Side note: I've also tried

• Dark Mode - Night Eye - too slow! (and too slow for GMail, too); and
• DocsAfterDark (https://waymondrang.com/docsafterdark https://github.com/waymondrang/docsafterdark) - OK until G. changes G. Docs again. Like, until recently, it was not applying to the caret (text cursor). Still not very good with selecting text (like when you want to copy to the clipboard). If you do use DocsAfterDark, then (at least now)
  • you still want Dark Background Light Text to apply Default (Stylesheet processor) to https://docs.google.com, and
  • disable Dark Background Light Text only for https://docs.google.com/document.
