Update to Go 1.18 and update all dependencies #128

Hello, I propose to update the go.mod and go.sum files to use the new go dependency model and to update all the dependencies. I use this branch since several days without any problem on my side. Feel free to test & I am listening to your comments

@m13253 - I recommend a new tag to mark this change? Seems significant to me - but I am not a go language/ecosystem specialist.
