As discussed with @paogorman SAM uses tabs for absolute temperature, and t for moist static energy.
However, the parameterisation features a variable t_i which represents absolute temperature at another point in the time cycle (_i used similarly for other variables).
We should refactor so that t_i becomes tabs_i to be consistent and scientifically clearer.
