Summary:
Lightspan made a series of Education games. Some of these were simply videos wrapped in a thin player, others also included minigames to practice e.g. math and vocabulary.
They all feature videos, either full motion actors, 3D animation, or 2D animation.
The games I tried ended up with no audio on the video files. It might be that only some of the files are missing audio channels, but I'm not sure.
