Partially Works on some non steam games but not others

It seems that for Ryujinx, It will connect to just fine but with no input on guest, The controller on the guest Steam deck shows up as a steam controller but has no input in the emulator even though everything is configured and setup.

Dolphin and Yuzu don't connect at all and get stuck on the blue loading wheel.

To properly support guest input, we need to init the Steam API from a non-Steam process and get the overlay to work at the same time while streaming in non-desktop capture mode. That's not possible without messing with external process or steam clients process ( it would require some patching ).

It was somewhat possible with the old client, when the VGUI based in-game overlay did the trick of handling the input, but the new one doesn't properly init steam from the target process for us.

Thank you did. Finally I managed to adjust the client. I went to test it on a non-Steam game (Hot-wheels unleashed). I added the game to Steam and started "Remote Play Whatever". However, in addition to not being able to detect the joysticks of my friends that I invite, they also cannot see anything on my screen. They only see a black screen with a loading symbol, even with the game already open. Do you have any idea what this could be? Have you ever fixed a similar problem?

The remote together also shows a game name "Spacewar"

Not sure if its still on this github, but there was an issue that had the solution for this. You basically just add the polygunners steam_appid text file that you can make yourself inside of the non steam games folder. Add it as a non steam game. Now when you start it the controls will work and show xbox

Not sure if its still on this github, but there was an issue that had the solution for this. Look at the comment by uklost. Its really easy, every game has steam_appid text in folder you just need to match it to the games number “polygunners” its just a few numbers in a text file. All app ids are on steamdb

I did this now, and the remote play window identified polygunners. However, the friends I invite continue to see a black screen instead of the app I'm currently playing (Hotwheels). My friend got stuck on these screens:

The remote play window also show me all time that the transmission is paused with the message "Transmission paused (return to the game to resume)"
