Thanks for the PR. Will test and compare to a similar solution later today. I will at the very least cherry-pick the Python solution for facts. Huge thanks for that one.

Faced installation issue today on my machine (using Ubuntu Focal) that could be solved by this PR.

P.S. Fresh zerotier installation script uses bionic as a repo for focal
