Unable to Connect #82

Can you describe the problem? When I open the HUD Updater it says unable to 
connect and it greys out the Install & Uninstall options.

Does the issue persist in an unmodified game (when applicable): Yes

What steps will reproduce it?
1. Open the HUD Updater
2.
3.

What version do you use? 1.4

What's your resolution? I'm looking for one.

Please provide any additional information below.

Well, unable to connect means just that. The Updater could not connect to this 
site.

Fixed? I can't control your computer. Check your firewall or something.

My computer is perectly fine and the program isn't being blocked by anything on 
my end. It's not just me either, I've heard of others having this same issue 
too.

Try this version of the updater. It should throw an error telling you what went 
wrong.

I had the same issue as here but a different outcome with the use of the 
alternate version:
Can you describe the problem? In the same way as Issue 82, when I open the HUD 
Updater it says unable to connect and it greys out the Install & Uninstall 
options. I tried you the other download that was provided in the response to 82 
and received this message (see attached screenshot)before the updater window 
opens.

I added a backup location for the version file. Try the attached version.

Tell me if this fixed your issue.

So far it seems that a firewall or something is blocking the updater.

Try the attached version. I added a few more checks.

For whatever reason that version worked. All the sites checked it says can be 
reached.
Thanks for helping me get this working and thanks for the great HUD.
Note: The main download file still doesn't work it still says unable to connect 
(if you are wondering)

I didn't need to do ctrl + u as the page WAS the source code, but I did it 
anyways.

Updater no longer downloads files from this site so the above no longer 
applies, I think.

If you still have connection issues, open a new ticket please.
