External Power Sound Loop #495

Here is a video of the sound issue when external power is turned on there is a sound loop. I am using a sound pack but this occurred with the default sounds as well.

Me neither, I've reinstalled and reinstalled to no avail. All the videos of youtubers who use the 747 don't have this issue, I must have a really unique case or something.

whats your fps? try turning vsync on.

My fps is average (29-35 on the ground). I'll try vsync and get back to you.

I think I put a video on the github and the x-plane forum, it’s an unlisted YouTube video so if you have trouble accessing it let me know.

he apologized for missing the video. definitely a strange one, dont know if vsync will help, but its a possible solution to a sticking buttons. other thought is to try a different mouse in case the one you are using is sending multiple clicks. How did you enable ground power? normally do it by the fmc, but that had avail on before you powered up the battery?

I tried vsync as soon as I saw your message and that actually worked, I wanted to see if it truly fixed so I tried parking at a gate rather than the runway during the test, but the loop continued. I tried your mouse method and that unfortunately didn't work. I've even tried switching gates reloading x-plane, and toggling vsync with no results. With regard to how I set up ground power, its always avail so I dont need to request/toggle anything on startup. This issue must be indigenous to me or something, thanks for you guys' help though.

Wait a second... How did you install the aircraft? I have a guess.

I installed via hitting the download button on the sparky 747 page, then it took me to the GitHub page where I hit the download package button (I think that’s what it was called) and then installed the files to my extra aircraft folder.

Do you have another plugin turning the ground power on?

I dont think so, would sending my log.txt help at all?

I actually got it working with v sync on, here is the log.txt with the successful start, I'll do some more tests and get back. Log.txt

Here's another log.txt of a situation that didn't work. By the way the successful situation above was at a gate at the nimbus KATL, I tried again and had another success which was at a gate at the Sandro Montreal, and a failure shown on the log.txt shown below on the runway at misterX KBOS (All except the first successful above situation had vsync off). hmm, what does it say on your fmc ident for op program? there's a load of sounderrors in that log related to fmod that shouldn't be there - are you sure its up to date?

I think I’m up to date the version I downloaded was 1.0 (initial release) If there is a newer version could I get some info as to how to download it?

OK, So I guess this is the 1st release with Matt726's sound pack?

Grab the latest build should fix it. top left of this page, click code, then the right green code button, then download zip image

That should do the job. They'll be a new release in ~2 weeks.
