The X3000 has a limit on the amount of photos that can be taken (timelapse or "normal" shots).
This limit seems to be set by Sony instead being a case of running out of storage space.
I'd really like to get rid of this limit and actually be able to use all the space on my sd card... whether a taking 40000 images at a 1s interval is practical or not. I just don't like a company to decide this stuff for me.

I had actually opened a thread on reddit with more details looking into this limit, before finding this thread.https://www.reddit.com/r/sonyactioncam/comments/9hdktk/getting_rid_of_40k_max_photo_limit_on_x3000/
I'm a bit stuck atm as I don't know how to read backup.bin, but will try to find out more.
