4K support for Sony A6000, like all the other A6xxx series have. #371

It could be among those 1500 deleted records, cos these cameras are so similar to each other in many other respects.

First of all, the a6000 has the most detailed 1080p internal recording of all the a6xxx series of cameras. Count your blessings, as the higher number models have significantly softer 1080p internal.

Secondly, the "4K" in all the other models (a6100, a6300, a6400, a6500, a6600) is rolling shutter jello filled trash during almost any lateral movement of the camera. Anything moving moderately quick in frame in 4K internal gets a fat dose of horizontal shear and is quality limited by the low bitrate. The likelihood that a 4K mode would be good, if even possible on the lower power internals of the a6000, seems very low.

off-topic rant time -

The only redeeming feature in my eyes in any of the higher number models is the a6600 finally getting the FZ100 battery. A much needed change, but on the most overpriced model in the line as of yet, at $1,400 retail. A ridiculous price for the minimal added-value and significant drawbacks.

As standard photo cameras, they are all good. For video, at least for my purposes, none of them have even gotten better than my a6000s; which I still use all the time as an easy couple of b-cams in video shoots.

tl;dr: Seems unlikely, and even if it is there, seems like it'll be very inefficient / full of significant rolling shutter artifacts possibly worse than its higher specced bretheren.
