DSC-HX400V - Japanese to English? #454

Hello, I work at a camera store and a customer came in with a camera she had bought online from Japan, the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX400V. She would like the menus to be changed to English and upon looking for a solution online, I came across this thread on ifixit that references "ma1co /Sony-PMCA-RE" -->

When I plugged the camera via usb into the computer and downloaded the GUI program, it just kept saying that the camera wasn't able to be found. However, on the camera screen it came up "USB" and what I translated said "Mass Storage."

Do you know how I can run any of your programs (preferably on Mac but I have access to PC as well) to get this camera fixed for the customer?

I just made sure the battery was fully charged and this is the error I'm getting:
