30p mod for Nex 5N #474

My Nex 5N only have option to shoot at 1080p 24p or 60p, and with pal mod it shoot at 25p and 50p. Is there an way to mod 24p to 30p? I think it have better quality because of bitrate, 60p has low bitrate and I don't know if is possible to improve this.

Unfortunately AVCHD itself which is an old broadcast format does not seem to support 30p. Also the NEX-5N/R 60i mode is actually interlaced, not 30fps progressive-segmented like some other NEX models. In true Sony spirit they simply limited the frame rate options to avoid confusion over overlapping naming schemes. So unless there is some hidden switch in the Sony 5N/R firmware to access segmented mode it won't be possible to record FHD 30p :/ The 60p mode is 28mbps though slightly higher than others and motion encoded which partially makes up for the loss, so there's that.
