As is well known, when using PMCA-RE software to unlock the language of new models such as A6100 from Japan, a reboot phenomenon will occur when switching languages, and there is no effective solution to date (unless specific languages are deleted).

However, on China’s shopping platform Taobao, there are several merchants who can provide remote, fast, and no after-effects modifications, just like the machine comes from the country of the modified language. But the modification method used is still unknown.

According to the query, one merchant on Chinese social platform XiaoHongShu said that the secret software he used came from Sony, named “ILCE-6400 Series AM Ver_1.4”. The use of this software is very strict, and it needs to be used in conjunction with a time-limited hardware key called HASP Key. After the update in 2018, it cannot be copied and cracked.

This software can remotely adjust various parameters of the camera, including modifying regional data, Wi-Fi seetings, GPS, shutter count, so that the ownership of a certain camera can fundamentally become another region. For example, from Japan to China, such modifications avoid the occurrence of reboot phenomena.

I saw myself on github. As mentioned in the article, the Japanese version of the camera has an encrypted signature, and the use of pmca does not have the permission to unlock the CN1/2 area, so there is a restart problem in selecting Arabic/Russian/Chinese!
