USB device interfaces are not recognized under macOS before version 10.15 #1

Artifacts build with Xcode (version 11.x) do not recognize the USB device interfaces under macOS before version 10.15 (Catalina). In contrast, the artifacts build with Makefile do recognize the TouCAN USB adapter and function as expected.

Additional information: This behavior was seen on my old Mac running machOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and Xcode 10.1
