can you distribute a module without the .lcb source? #32

a .lce file is a zip file. If you open it, you see the contents, which includes a .lcb file. but the summer megabundle widgets do not include the .lcb file, so is there some juju here, or can you just extract the .lcb when you build? can you build without the .lcb file being included?

i just tested a couple of builds. i don't see a setting for removing the .lcb file(s).

This can be done after the fact. The .lce files are just normal zip archives. Removing the .lcb file from the archive still allows the archive to be installed and used, just without the source code. But you're correct in that there's no automated way to do this from the Builder.

i wonder if lc has a script they run to package for deployment. for example, in the polygrid, there is a .lci and .lcm file, but no .lce
