Star Trek: The Motion Picture – Director's Edition Blu-ray pauses and then hangs #30

Playback of Star Trek: The Motion Picture – Director's Edition blu-ray seems to work fine at first, but it consistently glitches (a pause for a few seconds) after about a minute, and then after about 5 minutes hangs, with the drive (MediaTek 1956) making repeated seeking noises.

I do not believe this is a hardware issue, as I have tried multiple cables and ports with consistent results. When playback is stuck, quitting Blu-ray Player Pro instantly stops the seeking noises, and re-launching the app then restarts playback successfully.

System: macOS 12.6 on MacBook Air M1.

Might be due to general playback issues since Montery, see #25.

@blochberger Maybe. I'm playing from a disc, and the playback is actually very smooth for several minutes until it hitches once, resumes smoothly and then a few minutes later gets entirely stuck.

You could try to confirm whether this only affects the particular disc/movie or whether other discs/movies are affected as well.
