Is there any particular license you wanted to use for this project? Are you happy I add, say, MIT? Any other preference?

I have no stron feelings about that. Just note that the used library has GPL3: https://github.com/ifsnop/mysqldump-php

Addition to license in composer.json we should add LICENSE file in the repository root.

License file is easiest to create with this GitHub tool https://choosealicense.com/
