App and widget in one app? #27

On 2022 devices Garmin removed the category "widgets", they are all just apps now, apps can act as widget but you have to unlock that feature. Could you please do so, so it appears also in the glances list.

I know I can improve how apps are displayed on recent watches. What I have to do is to add a new glance view. But as my watch is quite old, I don't have this glance list on my watch, so I can't test it and I don't know how it works. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I understand correctly, there is no more difference between widgets and apps, so, I think I can at least remove the widget for recent watches from the app store.

I could beta test on my F7X if that helps. Yes for the newer devices it does not matter if the app is enabled to also work as glance.

There is the thing to decide what to display in the glace view, it can support 3 lines of text or some graphics with text. But since QR coded wont work that small it could just be the apps name or a simple barcode, that could actually work directly from the glance, so if users have a barcode in their wallet they could define one that is directly shown in the glance, and if you tap than it's the same as if they start the app.
