Im getting rearly annoyed now and all i want is dokucraft texture pack plz help im usingva htc dsire and andriod 2.2 or 2.3.

zhuowei commented 11 years ago

Have you tried resetting PocketTool?

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

The parse error is gone it is just back to force closing again an there is no folderhuel called joshuasman pocket tool. I have snowbound pocket tool folder tho so i deleted that one instead. Plz help

zhuowei commented 11 years ago

If you have com.snowbound.pockettool, then you have a really old version of PocketTool; uninstall and reinstall the latest version from https://github.com/joshhuelsman/PocketTool/PocketTool-1.5.9.apk/qr_code .

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

I did that now it looks different cus there is a floating body on the slins and textures tab so the download worked but still force closes PE.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

I also did your previose step and i think i accidentily closed the discussion.

zhuowei commented 11 years ago

Are you patching any mods or server IPs? They may not be compatible with your version of Minecraft PE.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

Nope just skins and texture packs and now when it comes to uninstall and reinstall it doesnt even hdavr the minecraft logo its a little green simble instead.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

I am at witts end with this app it pocket tool now force closes whenever i click on it.

zhuowei commented 11 years ago

Could you try the reset with the new version again? Maybe it would work with the newer version.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

Nope pocket tool is just force closing when i press the skins and textures tab.

zhuowei commented 11 years ago

Could you get a LogCat of the crash? It would help us solve the problem.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238 is a tutorial for getting logcats.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

How do i send it to you because i cant reply to your emails it rejects them.

zhuowei commented 11 years ago

Try copy and paste it into a Public Gist(https://gist.github.com/) and then post the link?

This bit was the crash log report. I can't thin of why it would crash though.

machinamentum commented 11 years ago

Possibly LivePreview isn't finding the char.png from $(POCKETTOOL_DIR)/temp/asset/mob/char.png, resulting in a FileNotFoundException, causing a NullPointerExcepion when trying to load the skin into a bitmap for OpenGL to render the steve model. This seems to be a problem when unzipping minecraft.apk (usually a corrupt apk) and temp not being created correctly.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

What should i do to fix it then

machinamentum commented 11 years ago

Try uninstalling both MCPE and PocketTool. Re-install MCPE from Google Play and install PocketTool from github. Then try textures.

The-Tanis commented 11 years ago

Omg i have done this soooo many times now

Armyboy94 commented 11 years ago

I am having this problem on my HTC one X I updated to 0.6.1 and then went to apply a 0.6.1 texture and it force closes when selecting the Textures/skin in tool kit.

dott1er commented 10 years ago

So the crash error hasn't been fixed then? Does same thing on my lg optimus9. I got a new phone today, and would rather just not even try it unless it's been fixed

zhuowei commented 10 years ago

You need root access on your phone for PocketTool. (BlockLauncher also requires root for original textures) :(
