This pull request merges in changes from upstream LinuxCNC@master branch at commit 18cccee9da722686575410c2fb5aefc07d3eafff.
I will upload packages to repository after merge.
The next update will hopefully include the Python3 compatible packaging and thus be available with current master of Machinekit-HAL. But that will require deeper thought and study.
