What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. checked out book from Local library (http://www.arapahoelibraries.org/)
2. Read and enjoy until check out period expires
3. Try to open 'my Books' and get thrown back to the home page

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
After crashes I updated both launcher and library via trook problem was not
solved

Hi,
There will an exception logged. run adb logcat and capture this and attach to
the
incident.

Thanks,

Hari,

I've already deleted the files so that I could get into my library, that's how
I know
it could be related. No way to get a crash history after the device has been
rebooted?

I think the logs get cleared after reboot.
I got a bunch of books from overdrive and they were ok after expiration. I just
couldn't read them, but they still showed up in the list. So, this could be
something specific.
Try & collect the log the next time it happens. I have a few more books about
to
expire too. I'll see if any of them cause any issues.

ok. Looks like it's a pdf. I never tested with a pdf file in this scenario.
I'll
take a look.

Hi,
I was able to reproduce this crash using a pdf file. It was happening inside a
system library.

Got a couple of questions-
Is this happening only for pdf files in your case? What's happening in the B&N
library app?

Thanks,
Hari

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I just tested epub/PDF and does seem to only happen with PDF files.

The B&N library runs just fine, just tells me that the lending period for the
file has expired. When trying to open the expired EPUB in 'My books' it gives
the same message
of lending period has expired.

This should work ok in .8 version. I don't have an expired pdf file handy to
test
this, but I added code using the crash log. Give it a try and let me know.

Thanks,
Hari
