This PR implements the following misc fixes / robustness things:

better creation of pipes, when using the >> operator.
- we now ensure pipe_a >> pipe_b get flattened into a single pipe
careful handling of inputs to tidyselect in across, and pivot functions
allow tbl with duckdb to take a polars DataFrame
