sound distortion after loading the module res_timing_pthread.so

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. load module res_timing_pthread.so from Asterisk CLI
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
after loading the module res_timing_pthread.so outbound sound is distorted, the 
incoming sound remains clean.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
chan-dongle from svn
asterisk 1.8.10
OpenWrt Backfire (10.03.x Snapshot, r31348)

Совершенно случайно обнаружил такую вещь, 
после загрузки модуля res_timing_pthread.so 
исходящий звук донгл->GSM начинает идти с 
искажениями (булькание, хрипы и т.п.), при 
этом входящий GSM->dongle->asterisk остается чистым. 
В логах по этому поводу вообще ничего нет.

Hi , 

i have your same problem: the audio is clean only on the sip client. 
Using centos 5 2.6.18 ast 1.8.x chan-dongle 1.1r10.
I can make call in both direction but audio is good only on the "sip" side.

I try different codec configuration g729 alaw gsm but still the same

From dongle wiki - 
"Note: Some users report bad voice quality using Centos 5 (i.e. Elastix). So, 
please, be careful with old kernels (i.e. 2.6.18)"

In your case it will help upgrade the operating system kernel.

he he, use res_timing_timerfd.so

res_timing_pthread.so really inaccurate

also cast  your 2.6.18 kernels
