Setting up Alarm Server #133

I'm setting up alarm server in my hikvision NVR but I'm facing a problem: Control Panel ask me several info. First of all the protocol (HIKVISION,OPTEX,GJD,Luminate) and depending of the protocol selected I have to specify username and password. I'm confused because I was expecting only address, port and nothing more. I'm using IOT channel Settings -> Alarm Device -> New device

I was trying to use HA interface to add the alarm device but i gave me an ISAPI ERROR so I'm trying to set it up by myself via hikvision web interface.

any Ideas ? Thank You

I guess you tried set something different. See screenshots here https://github.com/maciej-or/hikvision_next/issues/23 Keep in mind that not all devices / firmwares support that. You can also share details of ISAPI ERROR as described here https://github.com/maciej-or/hikvision_next?tab=readme-ov-file#reporting-issues then I could help more.

Thank you fort your answer; the link was very useful. It took me some days to verify my configuration and I got the wrong point of my configuration. I'm going to report it to help anybody else with same issue: There was two errors: 1: in my hikvision nvr configuration ( DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P) I had both input alarm and output alarm set up. ISAPI error disappears when I choose "Manual alarm" in Output alarm tab. 2: My Input alarm was misconfigured and has been configured with: N.C. (normally closed) and handling mode: Disabled

In my HA I was using the wrong value as automation input. the right event is "When XYX starts detecting motion" ( I was using "Motion activated" that is another kind of event). The Alarm server in my NVR is located under : Network -> Advanced configuration -> Other
