Using 3.5.2, some episodes showing inaccurate icons #488

I have a total of 6 episodes of a particular game show, 5 of which are set to "keep until I delete."

On the Tivo, they show the proper green icon. cTiVo, on the other hand, shows the blue exclamation icon for the same 5 episodes.

Only the newest episode, which is not set to "keep until I delete," agrees with the TiVo.

I can find examples of other programs set to "keep until I delete," that also show the blue exclamation in cTiVo.

So, do you set the “keep until I delete” manually during the current cTiVo session (ie since last restarting it)? Try this: note which ones are wrong, quit, and restart. Did that fix them?

I checked and didn’t have any that were wrong, but then I changed one, and … cTiVo didn’t catch up, even with “Reload all info”. Then when I Quit and restarted it was correct. I haven’t looked into why yet, but I definitely see that symptom.

These are episodes whose "keep until I delete" setting was set ages ago (when originally recorded), and never changed.

I launched cTiVo, noticed the blue exclamation icons, and thought, "those should be green"....and I looked on TiVo, where they were green.

So... if you quit and restart, they're still wrong?

Can you set TiVoShow logging to Verbose, quit and restart and send me the log, along w/ which shows are failing. (Then turn off the Verbose, as it is VERY verbose.)

I have the same problem - several shows with the blue icon - I have quit cTivo and restarted and still that didn't change the icon. The episode I am interested in is marked Keep Until I delete. I set it to that when I set the show to record. I don't really understand the directions - do I restart TiVo or restart the app? I have done both and still have the issue.

If you mean quitting and restarting cTiVo, yes; there is no change.

Can you set TiVoShow logging to Verbose, quit and restart and send me the log, along w/ which shows are failing. (Then turn off the Verbose, as it is VERY verbose.)

I will do this soon. I apologize for the delay, but I have had several things going on that have prevented me from sitting down to do it.

By "failing", do you mean shows that are displaying incorrect icons? There are no failed transfers caused by this issue. It's just an issue with the icons in cTiVo not matching the status reflected on the TiVo itself.

No problem, looking forward to it.

I’ve been able to see one case, and cTiVo is showing the info that the TiVo is sending, which is different than on its screen. I have looked at the RPC data, and I might be able to infer the correct info, but they don’t make it easy.
