This pull request replaces #14 and several branch based changes (code in api_client.py is too interwinded for small PRs). A.o. it fixes #10. Partly using snippets/code from LE. Areas:

in _request also flatten the params
improve file_upload signature and code
generalise category listing
setup folder/category mockup for tests
delete legacy functions
improve docstrings
