CPU farming will take 1/8 farmer rewards (on average - it's random but averages out to 1/8) and GPU farming takes 1/4.
Remember that when pooling you're getting the 0.25XCH and the pool gets the 1.75 (of which you get a percentage).
The fee of 0.25XCH every 8 blocks (16XCH) is where the 1.5625% comes from.
If you've given 2 farmer rewards out of 6 blocks (so .5XCH out of 12XCH = 4.16%) you just have to chock it up to bad luck just like everything else with chia, but it should average out over time.
I think the calculation for the fee is very simplified from Max. @madMAx43v3r please recheck the functionality of the fee. Here what it looks like atm on my Farm with approx 0.5PiB of C8 plots:
For the last 4 Blocks farmed, 3 were used for GH Fee. Is this normal?
It's unlucky, the chance of it happening with GPU is 1.5 % (actually more, like 3%, but the math is complicated)
It will even out over time
@madMAx43v3r Just as an FYI..after almost 4 month with madmax and 1PB (C5) from the beginning I won 17 blocks...and 7 went to madmax. Not sure if that really evens out, little bit frustrating. But I guess it is what it is... 🤪
Are you sure it's CPU farming? Integrated GPU counts as GPU.
Sorry, no I am not. Since three weeks out of the 4 month I am farming with GPU, my bad. But this doesn't really make a huge difference looking at the overall percentage, does it? (7 of 17)
It's quite unlucky, but possible. There's not much I can do about it sorry. You can use flexfarmer to avoid this gamble.
Hello,
not sure if that is an issue but worth mentioning or I am doing something wrong. I am CPU farming at pool.space with 900TIB compressed (c5) since 5 weeks. Apart from the fact I only found 6 Blocks, 2 blocks went to madmax, this is a little more than 1,5% (or even 1 out of 8 blocks)..in fact 33%..can that be??
