Thanks for the PR. Your .d.ts file doesn't use JSDoc formatting and we could reuse the texts that are in the README.md. I think I'm going to include a index.d.ts based on your suggestion with the descriptions from README.md because I do see the benefit of adding one. I need to bump the version and add types property to the package.json.
