Lumping two+ cores together here, but all of the Commodore 64 emulators are slow, as is the Vic20 emulator.
VICE emulators in general are more compatible, and suffer with speed as a result. While mostly playable, it's right at the edge of what the SF2000 can handle and unless someone were to spend time optimizing the code it's unlikely to improve. The official core is still being updated but they are unlikely to add performance improvements that would affect SF2000 in a positive way.
The official Frodo core is all but abandoned, and is known to have lower compatibility to VICE, but it is usually faster on most platforms. On the SF2000 it seems about the same speed as VICE.
