width issue with inout text in search fields #892

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When you display the search filter fields in a grid the input width 
percentage is ignored in chrome and safari
2. see scree shots
3. is there a work around that ?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Please insert the appropriate values;
                    Zend Framework version: 1.11
ZFDatgrid Version (Bvb_Grid::getVersion()): 0.8
                          Operating system: ubuntu 12.04
                               PHP Version: 5.3
               Database Server and version: mysql
Source Adatapter:
