Request for assistance on installation on Synology NAS #83

Open udovanpeursem opened 6 years ago

udovanpeursem commented 6 years ago

I have been trying everything to get this up and running, I tried to use the standard installation tools from Synology for the container, but it will not start.

Does anyone have a step by step explanation how to install it on the Synology or is willing to help me? (the explanation on the harmony-api page is not understandable by me).

Thanks in advance, Udo

Hay good luck with that, Lets just see who will help! This is a call out too all you out there that could help but wont!

cmon69 commented 6 years ago

"standard installation" ha, ha, You will only get enough to make you want it, then your on your own!

Dear @cmon69,

I am not understanding what you are trying to accomplish with this remark, perhaps to try to trigger someone to help, not sure if it is the right way to go.

Noone has to give me information to want it, because I already saw the possibilities and already want it.

I just need someone to point me in the right direction, at some point everyone was in the same situation as I am and got some help or another, but still it is their time I am trying to claim, so if noone helps, I'll be disappointed in my own lack of understanding how, but that is all.

udovanpeursem, you saw right threw me! I'm not sure why nobody is helping you, I'm sure there is a way to accomplish what you are trying to do. Maybe everyone that could help is to busy with their day jobs.

Morning. I can maybe move this along further...

The challenge with the synology nas docker version is that it is GUI based so there is no opportunity to type commands in order to install the docker.

The biggest challenge is knowing "understanding" the mount point.

That being said... does anyone know the mount point.

If you run the container no files are created and the log says as follows:
