I see two unrelated errors in the CI pipeline. Should they be fixed in this PR? Edit: just saw #185.

Also, is this the right destination branch?

Can you merge release-2.4 into your branch and then point this PR at that branch instead. One callout is that on that branch I've updated some package versions, so please make sure the final versions in the PR reflect the updates.
