What steps will reproduce the problem?
Just control-c a running ppss script. Often after the time out, it will
properly kill remaining processes and exit, cleaning up all temporary
files. But sometimes it doesnt.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The main problem of an unclean shutdown is the fact that temporary files
are not cleaned up and that the lock file of ppss is still present, which
has to be manually removed before ppss can be executed again.
