Bug in daemon mode when running as daemon and inotify not installed #33

What happens is that the STAT variable never gets defined because when inotify 
is not installed the INOTIFY variable is not initialized due to a bug. This 
breaks the code. Thanks Juha for reporting this. 

A patched version is attached. A new release will be out soon.

Changed state: Fixed
