A Python/KiCAD project showcasing the development of a handheld retro gaming console from the ground up. This includes all the schematic and prototyping work.
The documentation refers to 3A max output current. However, it is unclear if this is a constraint of the board or of the batteries themselves. Because two LIPO batteries are being investigated anyways, two of these boards can be connected in parallel in theory, with diodes preventing reversed current. the obvious downside is that this will double the cost of the battery solution from 33 to 66 per build. Plus will be double battery life and potentially allow for USB support.
USBA 2.0 uses max of .5A, which means max current draw from the usb ports is 2A. With RPi 5 potentially drawing a max of 5A, this could put us an amp over max current. More investigation necessary.
