hanging notes with MIDI MPE mode #37

In the past I used Soundplane pretty much exclusively with Aalto and OSC protocol, but now I’d like to use it for other MPE capable instruments in addition as well as having the ability to record my performances in Logic.

Unfortunately I’m not having much luck with MIDI MPE mode, I’m getting lots of hanging notes.

I’m seeing this with Aalto as well as other MPE capable soft synths (Alchemy for example) in both Logic and Ableton Live.

Whilst this is of course not the way I’m playing the Soundplane ;-) the easiest way to reproduce is just to lay your hand on it and swipe up/down. You’ll notice in Logic’s MIDI activity meter that after releasing your hand, some notes keep hanging

I've seen this a lot, as well; and it doesn't seem to be the way I'm playing. I had some minor success with turning the sensitivity settings down, but will still get hanging notes from time to time.

I recently changed the way voice allocation works, and my guess is I've done something wrong there. I have this on a short list to address ASAP.
