NPM task runner freezes Visual Studio while the ng build watch is running

Steps to recreate

Setup an ng build watch task
Run it
During the building, try to edit your source. Conclude that this is not possible during the build

Current behavior

See description.

Expected behavior

Visual Studio should not be hanging
