Now I get it. Thanks for clarifying. VS usually remembers the last collapsed state and opens documents into that same state. If you open all regions and then close and re-open that document, the regions stay open, right? Could that be the issue you're seeing?
Also, since you don't think this was an issue with this extension, would you mind updating your rating on the Marketplace to 5 stars (if you think it deserves it, of course)?
Will do on the review - … and perhaps it does … but I would like to set the default behaviour when I open the file… as right now everytime I open it I have to do the CTRL-ML and do so everything I open it in VS
Thanks for getting back to me.

Thanks. If I understand you correctly, you'd like the default behavior of VS to be not to collapse regions when opening files. For me to work on getting that into this extension, I need an official Suggestion on https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/. Those are the rules I've set for this extension. So, if you can create one of those, then we can look at adding it.
@codeputer did you end up creating a suggestion ticket on Developer Community?
Sorry no – got really busy, but do you have a link? I’ll type it up , just can’t hunt for it. Project I’m on is driving me crazy each time I open a file, I got to Ctrl-ML each time – wearing out those keys on my keyboard!

Thanks – made a point of getting this today: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/idea/1151117/outlining-mode-default-open-or-default-close.html
Hope you can implement it easily – would be so nice to have on this project!

Hello! Sorry this isn't a bug on your part (AFAIK), but something that I would really like to have "tweaked"! When outline mode is on - the behavior is to have all the regions collapsed when a file is opened. I can then inssue a CTRL-ML to have them open, but that is a pain.
If I turn off outline mode, then all outlining is turned off and I can't collapse the regions as well.
What I would like is to have outlining on, but when I open a file for the first time, by default, all regions are expanded. I would think it would be a good tweak to have it listed as an option under Outlining to either open and expand, or open as closed.
I'm a fan of your work!
