2 years ago In 2022, obj dir is deleted, but then after a second recreated with a few basic files (not the code). So it might look like it doesn't work for you? It solves the intended problem or removing old compiled code.

Tweaks 2019 1.1.125 - bin & obj folder no longer being deleted on Clean in VS 2019
Options image shows I have the correct setting's value.
If I Clean the solution several times, eventually the
binfolder is deleted but theobjfolder never gets deleted. Maybe VS is locking files in these folders but shouldn't be? Not sure.Thank you for your time and investigation.
