Sorry to be so ignorant, but I haven't been following the project recently; is there any chance that this is still maintained or are we looking at the 'fork life'?

https://github.com/hypercore-protocol is now the parent gh org and https://github.com/mafintosh/hyperbee is the best replacement for hyperdb atm
