MPlayerX has this feature:

No play-list? Not really necessary. As long as the file names are numbered in any guessable pattern, MPlayerX could find the next episode in the same folder for you.

[ ] Find next episode in same folder (MPlayerX has this)
[ ] Support episodes that are nested in folders (move in and out of folders to find next episodes)
