Bad performance on iPhone #55

This issue was reported on twitter by @cdbessig. Here is the relevant part:

Brian:

I’m on iPhone and also having a less than optimal performance. I find the three buttons for next/prep and content listing often do not register a click.

Vinai:

Trying to reproduce the issue. Having a “works on my phone” issue. Could I ask you some more questions to get more understanding, maybe on a github issue thread? What’s your github user name? Then I’ll open a thread and ping you from there.

Brian:

cdbessig and of course. (Iphone xs, safari).

I've tried reproducing the issue on an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 8plus without success. Both running iOS 12.4.1

@cbdbrian: Here are a few questions, shots in the dark to gather more data:

What version of iOS are you running?
Could you try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave or Opera) maybe?
Are you experiencing similar issues on other websites? If so, which ones?

12.4.1 on iPhone XS (normal, not max).

Chrome does work.

No.

Additionally, there is horizontal scrolling. Here is very sloppy video of the problem: https://cl.ly/4f72a7ef8190

You will notice at first in the video I have the issue and then it starts being pretty responsive. I'll keep an eye out and see if it gets unresponsive again and try to provide better reproduction steps.

Thanks for the video, I appreciate it. I'll try to reproduce it on some other phones. Unfortunately that's the best I can come up with right now.

No problem. Thanks for creating Mage2.tv. It's incredibly helpful. I can't wait for the additional chapters that are coming soon! You break things out very well, and your examples are exactly what is needed to illustrate points. Thanks so much.
