Broken fonts in IntelliJ after applying patches #2

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

I built my version of OpenJDK by applying the tuxjdk patches to version
1.8.0.25-6.b18 from the Fedora 21 repos. I omitted the GC tuning patch, and the
makefile patch failed to apply.

Now when running IntelliJ 14 the fonts look quite a bit bigger, and some
characters seems to be missing completely in the menus, like 'O', 'D' and 'K'.
Also, when I attempt to change the font size, rendering goes completely messed
up, with elements balooning to gigantic sizes. The font size selection drop
down also seems completely broken, there are a bunch of repeated entries only
containing 2 and 8 as digits, and some others are empty.

Here are some screenshots of the problems: http://imgur.com/a/bFkrO

Minor correction: version 1.8.0.25-5.b18. I'm now trying to compile without the
fix-typographical-point-size patch to see how it goes.

Compiling without the fix-typographical-point-size patch does not fix the
issue, so it's probably the fontconfig patch itself that is causing the issues.
I'm also using the freetype-freeworld package from RPMFusion, if that changes
anything.
