[[Desecrate Reality]] is not me letting pick the permanents at all.

{7} Instant For each opponent, exile up to one target permanent that player controls with an even mana value. (Zero is even.) Adamant — If at least three colorless mana was spent to cast this spell, return a permanent card with an odd mana value from your graveyard to the battlefield.

I can confirm - it looks like it always auto chooses a land you control and then fizzles

Notably, the closest card I can find ([[Tempted by the Oriq]]) works perfectly and is programmed the exact same.
