Token Copies of Watcher for Tomorrow do not behave correctly when leaving the battlefield #12916

Watcher for Tomorrow has Hideaway, exiling a card when it enters. It also has a triggered ability that reads "When Watcher for Tomorrow leaves the battlefield, put the exiled card into its owner's hand".

I've found the following interaction:

Have Inalla, Archmage Ritualist in the command zone. Play Watcher for Tomorrow and pay the 1 for Inalla's triggered ability. Both the original Watcher and its token copy come into play and each triggers Hideaway, exiling cards. At end of turn, the token is exiled per Inalla's ability, but the exiled cards remain stranded in exile and are not added to the player's hand.

Watcher for Tomorrow - (Gatherer) (Scryfall) (EDHREC)

{1}{U} Creature — Human Wizard 2/1 Hideaway 4 (When this creature enters, look at the top four cards of your library, exile one face down, then put the rest on the bottom in a random order.) Watcher for Tomorrow enters tapped. When Watcher for Tomorrow leaves the battlefield, put the exiled card into its owner's hand.

Inalla, Archmage Ritualist - (Gatherer) (Scryfall) (EDHREC)

{2}{U}{B}{R} Legendary Creature — Human Wizard 4/5 Eminence — Whenever another nontoken Wizard you control enters, if Inalla, Archmage Ritualist is in the command zone or on the battlefield, you may pay {1}. If you do, create a token that's a copy of that Wizard. The token gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the next end step. Tap five untapped Wizards you control: Target player loses 7 life.
