Currently, it is not possible to have two child categories in different trees have the same slug. As a result, I can't have as an example mysite.com/construction/hand-tools and mysite.com/workshop/hand-tools.
I have been importing the categories via PIMGento and Akeneo on Magento 1 and had no issue with this until upgrading to Magento 2, and now changes have been forced creating 404 issues until I renamed one to hand-tools-1. This has also created a huge amount of Google indexing issues for my business.
