Marketplace Requirement #53

It would be awesome if we have separate community project to build marketplace system as a module for Magento.

It would be nice if you could expand your suggestion a little bit further. The current description doesn't make it clear enough. What kind of additional features are you looking for, exactly?

Magento by default not providing marketplace feature so I am thinking add completely new marketplace feature. For eg.

There are many more requirement for marketplace so it can be a huge project.

Well, actually, some of these could be achieved rather trivially using the features already in place. The general idea is to create an administrator role with limited privileges. I believe, Magento Commerce (formerly Enterprise Edition) even allow limiting user's access to a specific set of stores.

By using those existing features you can achieve 5 of the 6 targets you named already.
